I had had a few Tecates at this point, and was mostly hoping the big burly guys inside didn’t come out to see me messing around their bikes. Luckily you can’t see my inebriated, worried face in the reflection… or can you….

Daily Photo: Where the River Went

I had to stick my camera through some chain-link to get this unobstructed view- this was after a long day of shooting most of the day and my battery was dying, but couldn’t pass up this tower in the afternoon light. The guy that painted this mural has painted all of the Las Cruces city water tanks.

New Mexico has one thing going for it- amazing light. I know why so many artists have settled here, there is something special in the desert and the colors.

I decided this every single day shit was a little too much with a job and a half already. So, I am not going to worry too much about whether I get a shot every single day. I will just do as well as I can. I have been shooting at least every other day, which is way more than I started out with. So, yeah, not going to beat myself up about it too hard.
